Monitoring Education Financing: Building Evidence to Strengthen Public Education Systems
The Education Financing Observatory (EFO), launched by the Global Campaign for Education in 2021, provides a platform to monitor, analyse, and advocate for stronger education financing systems. By tracking key indicators—such as GDP allocation, national education budgets, and equity measures since 2000—and combining these with the movement’s analysis through a dynamic and continuously evolving exercise, the EFO generates data to inform policy and advocacy, offering important insights as we approach 2030.
